Governor Baker announced today that the stay-at-home order and closure of all non-essential businesses in Massachusetts will remain in effect through May 18. The prior order was set to expire on May 4th. Per the prior order, these businesses are encouraged to continue operations remotely.
The prior press release which outlines what businesses are considered as “essential” can be viewed here. It details the various categories of businesses that are considered to be essential. The press release also provides a means by which businesses can submit a request to be considered as “essential.”
